When El Pollo Loco Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: LOCO) released its second-quarter financial results after the markets closed on Thursday, the crazy chicken said that it had $0.21 in earnings per share (EPS) and $105.6 million in revenue.

In terms of the outlook for the full fiscal year, El Pollo Loco expects to see EPS in the range of $0.64 to $0.67, systemwide comparable restaurant sales growth of 1.0% to 2.0%, and adjusted EBITDA in the range of $66.5 million to $68.5 million.

The Nifty50 index managed to hold above the 10,000 mark and witnessed a sharp recovery from lower levels led by short covering in the last one hour of the session.The index formed a bullish candle on the daily chart and managed to recover by forming a piercing pattern, as it recovered half the losses that it had suffered in the last session.Now, it has to hold above the 10,050 level to witness an upward move towards 10,120 and 10,140 levels, while on the downside, supports are seen at 10,020 and then 9,980 levels.On the options front, maximum Put open interest was intact at strike price 10,000 followed by 9,800 while maximum Call OI was seen at strike price 10,500, followed by 10,100. NEW DELHI: Indian Hotels Company Limited ( IHCL ) which runs the Taj group of hotels has reported a profit after tax of Rs 7 crore for the quarter ended June compared to a loss of Rs 9 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.The company stated its revenue from operations grew to Rs 524 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared to Rs 474 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.Operating EBITDA ( earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) was Rs 76 crore compared to Rs 53 crore in the previous year.IHCL stated that during the period under review, product upgradation programmes commenced for hotels like Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, Taj Lands' End, Mumbai, Taj Exotica Goa, Vivanta by Taj- Fort Aguada Beach Resort Goa and Vivanta by Taj, Connemara, Chennai. IHCL also opened 3 new hotels under the Ginger brand in Mumbai and Ahmedabad.IHCL reported consolidated income from operations of Rs 907 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared to Rs 947 crore last year.Its consolidated loss after tax came down to Rs 25 crore compared to a loss of Rs 169 crore last year.
